Common questions

Pricing, Straight Up

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

Because the lowest quote and the best repair aren't always the same job. We focus on a fair, honest number that covers doing it properly, backed by a lifetime labour warranty, rather than racing anyone to the bottom.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We assess the job, explain what's involved, and agree a number with you before any work starts. That figure doesn't move once we've begun, regardless of how long the job actually takes.

What does the $65 off your first service cover?

It's $65 taken off your very first booking, applied automatically with no code to remember. Mention it when you call and it'll show up in the final figure.

Does the price change once you start?

No, not for what was agreed. The only exception is something genuinely unexpected turning up once work has begun, and even then we'd stop and talk it through before continuing.

Common questions

Who's Responsible for What

Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?

A tap washer is about the limit of what's legally DIY in NSW. Anything involving drainage, gas or the water supply itself needs a licensed plumber, both legally and for your own safety.

Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?

Yes, gas work goes exclusively to our licensed gas fitters, never a plumber working past their own qualification.

Can you check my licence number?

Yes, Lic #465156C is displayed for exactly this reason. Look it up on verify.licence.nsw.gov.au instead of relying on what we tell you.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

It's a guarantee on the labour behind every repair we complete that never expires, unlike a standard one or two-year warranty.

Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, every day of the year, no different pricing or reduced availability. A plumbing emergency doesn't check the calendar, and neither do we.

What happens after I call?

A real person helps you work out how urgent it actually is and gets a plumber moving straight away. Once someone's on site, you'll have a number to approve before the job itself begins.

How fast can you get here?

We aim for same-day wherever we genuinely can, and we're upfront when that's not realistic for your specific job. Straight talk beats a promise we can't actually keep.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes. The phone gets answered at any hour, including well past midnight, by someone who can actually talk through what's happening rather than a recorded menu.

Common questions

The Smithfield Questions

Why do Smithfield's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

Much of what's standing today went up across the post-war building boom, and the galvanised supply pipes and vitrified clay drains laid at the time are now old enough to fail without any real warning.

Do you cover the suburbs next to Smithfield?

Yes, Wetherill Park, Prairiewood, Greystanes, Fairfield and Abbotsbury are all on our patch too, not a special trip out.

What suburbs do you service around Smithfield?

The same five neighbouring suburbs plus Smithfield itself, all inside Fairfield City Council, on the same upfront, same-day-where-we-can basis.

Do you handle strata and units in Smithfield?

Freestanding and semi-detached homes make up the bulk of Smithfield's housing stock, so a single-owner job is what fills most of the week here. Whenever a strata booking does come in, it gets exactly the same response.
